Charles Bellinger was one of the richest Black men in Texas in the early 1900's. He was nicknamed the "Black Mayor" of San Antonio, and was one of the most colorful and influential business and political leaders in the city.[1]
Charles was born in 1875 in Texas.
He married Celestine Polleman in 1896 in Caldwell County, Texas. [2]
He passed away in Bexar County, Texas in 1937. [3]
