Biography

John was born on 13 June 1806 in Oldhamstocks, Haddingtonshire the son of John Bauld (~1768 - ) and Margaret Black (~1766 - 1857). His baptism record is in the name of Bawld[1].

John married Agnes Cockburn (~1817 - ) on 3 June 1843 at Dunbar, Haddingtonshire[2].

In the 1841 Census John was said to be 30 years old and employed as an Agricultural Labourer at Little Pinkerton, Dunbar, Haddingtonshire with his mother Margaret[3].

In the 1851 Scotland Census John was aged 44 years and employed as an Agricultural Labourer. He resides with his wife Agnes and 3 children in Newtonlees, Dunbar, Haddingtonshire[4].

John died in 1860 in Dunbar, Haddingtonshire[5] and is buried with his parents and grandparents at Cockburnspath Cemetery. The Inscription on his headstone reads:
