The U.S. 1950 Census [2] record for the family of Clint and Helen (Barton) Weaver identifies a son, Clinton A. Weaver, living in the household. He is shown as an unmarried 21-year old who works as an apprentice in a machine shop, and he has not served in the armed forces. We have found no other records of this Clinton, and we question whether he actually existed. At this point we have no evidence of a birth, death, interment, marriage, or high school graduation, and he is not listed with the family in the 1940 or 1930 census records. We have found no newspaper records either. Several senior family members who were born prior to 1950 and were acquainted with Clint and Helen Weaver (including the Profile Manager) have no knowledge of any child other than their son Barton. Clinton, if he existed, would have been a second cousin of the Profile Manager.
We know it's possible that the visit of the census enumerator could have coincided with a visit by another family member who was accidentally mislabeled as a resident son. But we have searched Clint's family and have not found any viable candidate who fits the description of Clinton, so we think the possibility is unlikely. We have therefore deleted a profile that existed briefly for son Clinton.
