Thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the April 2023 Source-a-Thon. Every source or citation verifying the information on a profile, helps make for a healthier Tree!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with a large gold winner's tro-phy between them. Beneath the adult Tortoises are the baby Slowsky twins, Liddyll, and Iddyll, holding the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" between them, and behind the phrase, su-perimposed upon the trophy, is the WikiTree DNA globe icon. Beneath the entire tableau is the phrase "We're all winners in the end".

So happy to have helped. I don't get tons of profiles done, but they are sourced. Thank you for making a team that understands what is important!
It can take me most of a day to get one profile to what I feel is "satisfactory", so I certainly understand the not getting tons of profiles done.

And that's without actually chasing any A white rabbit. A white rabbit..

I did see that you did inline site sources. My apologies and that you used the name equals. Also I did not block you that's impossible LOL

If someone is in the edit mode in a profile it won't allow someone else to make edits on that profile I think it says for 20 minutes that could be why

Regarding Isaac Manning profile. That's fine but part of Wikitree guidlines is not to copy script from other sources for the biography. Also, the usbh sticker or tag is showing up in Red so it is incorrect. Thank you for whatever additions you added. We are also supposed to use inline citations and when citing the same citation more than once use for example: <ref name="birth certificate">

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources#Repeated_use_of_the_same_source_in_the_same_profile. Much more aesthically pleasing. Because ancestry is a paid subscription site those sources are supposed to be under the sources section as "see also:" I don't like the bold print either so I will be changing that and the first three sources, I believe, do not have links. Those should go at the bottom also because they're not really relevant without somewhere to go to view it. There's a whole section on sources and how to cite them on the link that I provided. Thank you Eileen

It is typical to have a bolded section on a notable. Those sections were approved by a manager

Are you setting the tracker for every profile you create? If so, double check that your Wiki-ID is correct. Emma
When you get some time maybe you can help me with the tracking sheet. I know I did quite a few profiles that wouldn't count, but I shouldn't be at 0. I should have a handful from today.
OMG, Shirleen! All this time I had no idea you and I were fourth cousins! I was working on building my cc7 and saw your DNA listed on a close family profile. We share Alice Ward Jeffs. Emma :-)
My mother spoke fondly of aunt Alice and I have many memories of Marie Jeffs Monson, my great-grandmother. There was a plumb pudding recipe in the family that was to die for.
Well, how sad that the plumb pudding recipe didn't get passed down in my branch!
If I find it again I'll make sure you have it. It was old enough it had to be converted to standard measurements

For those who wish to comment on my well-meaning errors or my occasional triumph, please call me Shirleen. Shirley was my grandfather.
I noted that you are looking to merge a Hannah Dwinell 1670 to abt.1724 to Hannah Cave 1675-Dec. 1724 in Topsfield married Michael Dwinell 27 Sep 1692. I have searched my records on Hannah Dwinell, none of my 7 Hannah's have birthdays prior to 1709, the first one is born to Hannah Cave and Michael Dwinell as noted above. There are also a number of Hannah Dwinel's the first is born in 1768. I am a direct descendant of Michael the original settler in Topsfield.
Hi, Shirleen. You and I map out as 9th cousins once removed. We may (or may not) discover an even closer relationship after more of your ancestry is in WikiTree. :-)

Hi Shirleen!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Shirleen,

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

You mentioned that you are new to genealogy. No problem! We were all beginners at some point. Take your time, keep track of sources, and ask questions. Check here for tips.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to help!

See you in the branches!

Hi, you wrote me such a welcoming message when I started. I wondered if you could look at a profile for me and see if my skills with the tools have progressed adequately. See Bartholomew-1207. I'm trying to write better biogrophies.
Shirleen, Bartholomew-1207 is absolutely beautiful! I couldn't imagine giving you any more suggestions other than some tips on how to create inline citations. I'll send you a private message then we can chat directly through email so I can send you some screenshots. Sorry if my replies take some time.

Kindest regards ~ Pam
