Biography

Ada was the daughter of John Baliol and Devorgilla Galloway.[1] married William de Lindsay, Lord of Lamberton, son of Walter de Lindsay, Lord of Lamberton, Molesworth and Christian, Whitsunday 1266.[2][3]

She married William de Lindsay, Lord of Lamberton b. 24 Jun 1250, d. 6 Nov 1283 They had issue:

  • William de Lindsay
  • Catherine (Christiana) Lindsay de Balliol b. c 1265, d. a 1320[1][2]

Also Gainford was the previously the parish name & shouldn't be included in the place name.

Balliol-37 and Balliol-50 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same spouse, John and Devorguila Galloway are the correct parents, THE PEERAGE says Ada and William were married in1266, she did not live from 1248-1251. The birth of 1210 is not correct. same time frame, same location.
