Biography

William Thomas Balfour was born in 1894 in Orange, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Jane Amelia Balfour and James Balfour.^[1][2]

He served in the First World War, embarking on the HMAT Argyllshire A8 on 30 September 1915 from Sydney.^[3] Part of his service was in Palestine.^[4]

William died at the age of 69. His remains were interred at Wollongong City Memorial Gardens and Crematorium, Unanderra, NSW.^[5]
