Esther must have been a twin to Eula Esta Atkins who was born the same year but a week later, on 24 Oct 1911.^[2]

Because Eula's middle name is 'Esta,' I tend to think Esther died. Using 'Esta' as a middle name was a way for my great-grandmother to honor her deceased child. This has never been discussed in the family. But, records clearly show the parents are Horace & Ella, and this child was born. Also, Esther is not mentioned in any Census. I did not know Esther existed until I made her parents profiles because I had met all of Grandma's sisters and knew them personally as Great-Aunts. Always talking to the nieces and nephews.^[3]
