Samuel was born May 7, 1897 in Houghton, Norfolk, Ontario.[1]

Samuel was married to Edith May Walker. [2]

Samuel experience the tragic death of his daugther Bessie Irene Armstrong. Bessie died of Pnuemonia on October 25th, 1918 at only 8 days old. They were living in Brantford, Brant, Ontario. [3]

Great War

Samuel Harvey Armstrong 189940 Private. Son of John A. and Sarah Armstrong. Enlisted February 1916. Served in Canada 91st Battalion; England 12th Reserve; France 2nd Battalion. Battles: Somme, Vimy Ridge. Wounded at Fresnoy. Discharged January 1918.[4]
