Note NI246"I met John A. and as a child thought he was my grandfather. He had a big handle bar mustache and I hated having to kiss him good bye. My memory of him is that he loved to tinker and the round table was always covered with bits and piece of clocks and things. Sarah was always doing washing." Shirley Cook

I am told they lived on Manitoulin island when they first got married. Her son my grandfather worked in the fishing industry when he was young and told me of his fishing there. Also that is where he first started to smoke. when they couldn't find any tobacco they would dry burdock leaves on the rocks and smoke that. By Beverly, descendant of Arthur.
