Mr.and Mrs. James R. Walker 101 Kains St. whose marrige took place at the home of the latter's parents, Mr and Mrs John Armstrong , in Port Burwell , 55 years ago, will observe the anniverary of their wedding on Friday of this week, when they will be at home to their friends from two to four o'clock. It was March 5 1893 that Mary Armstrong was married to James R. Walker son of Mr and Mrs Adam Ira Walker also of Port Burwell. For a few years , they made their home in Port Burwell, later moving to Walsingham and then coming to St.Thomas about 33 years ago .

Mr and Mrs Walker have seven children living, Isabelle and Kenneth at home , Ellis of Orwell, Mrs. Martin Jackson {Mabel}, of Port Huron Michigan, Mrs. George Sutton { Bea}, of Detroit, Mrs. Kenneth Pelkey {Kathleen}, of London Ontario, and Mrs. Jack Mc Intyre { Etheldia } of Sheddon. They also have twenty -six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs Walkers mother, now 92 is still living in Port Burwell, andshe has a number of brothers and sisters still living George , Jim and Samuel all of Port Burwell, and the latter being the Postmaster there.

Arthur and Alvin of Pontiac Michigan, Mrs William Temple { Harriet] of Detroit, and Mrs George Williams {Sarah}, of St. Thomas. Mr walker has a brother Henry walker, of Port Burwell and a sister Mrs Mary Launsberry of Chatham.

They attend the City of Mission in St. Thomas and have many friends in the city and district.
