Bertha Auguste, daughter of Heinrich Friedrich Althoff and Charlotta Rosina Deetz,^[1][2] was born 11 April 1811 in Berlin, Brandenburg, Preußen^[1][2] (now in Germany). Her parents had her baptized there 21 April 1811 into the Evangelische (Lutheran) faith.^[1]

She died 20 August 1828 at age 17^[2] and was buried two days later on the 22nd.^[2][3]
