Biography

Frederick was born in 1902 to Frederick Allerton and Lucy Parker in Horwich, Lancashire, England. [1]



Frederick's death (age 86) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1988 in the Bolton district.[2]

Note that Wildish was his mother's previous married name, not her maiden surname which was Parker.

Malcolm Allerton
Frederick "Fred" was my dad. He occupation was a boiler maker although as he was brought up in the age of the onset of electricity, he became self taught as an electrician. In Horwich (his birthplace) he converted many dwellings from gas lighting to electric! He was also the local radio and t.v. repair man. His nick name was "shanks" (long legs) and was a good athlete, very often betting his wage as a wager to outrun other people. His mum, my grandmother would appear to have been the family power house. She had died before I was born, but my mum told me of her life story.
