We are searching our history, but we have gaps in the Burch history. My Grandfather's family came from Tring in Hertfordshire. Family history is muddled by a bigamist in late 1700's-1800's, his name was (family oral history) Sir William Buckley Burch. We have no record of him.

We would also like to reconcile what we know about John (Jack) Burch our great uncle. Family oral history says he was knighted for services in WW1. We now doubt this as no record was found.

Family traced through Paternal G-Grandmother's line back to 1066 and beyond. One notable was beheaded by Henry VIII during the Boleyn treason trials.
