Sarah (Allerton) Lee was a Virginia colonist.

Sarah Allerton was born c. 1671^[1] at Westmoreland County, Virginia Colony, a daughter of Isaac Allerton and Elizabeth Willoughby.^[2][3] Possible christening in 1670 in Northumberland, Virginia.^{[citation needed]}

Marriages

Sarah married twice.

• She married probably at Westmoreland County, Virginia, as her 1st, to Unknown Newton.^[2] This marriage is proved by her father's will in which he mentioned his daughter Sarah Lee and grandson Allerton Newton.^[2]
• She married c. 1700, as her 2nd, and as his 2nd, to Hancock Lee.^[2] Hancock had three children from his first marriage to Mary Kendall (d 24 Dec 1694): William, Anna, and Richard.^[1]

Note: The daughter of Hancock Lee and his 1st wife, Mary Kendall, named Anna was the wife of William Armstead. The daughter of Hancock Lee and this, his 2nd wife, Anne Lee married to William Eustace.^[1] They were two different daughters.

Death and Legacy

Sarah died on 17 May 1731 at Wicomico, Northumberland County, Virginia Colony.^[1] She was buried 17 May 1731 at Ditchley, Northumberland, Virginia.^[3]
