Biography

Birth

Eugene E. Allen was the son of Albert Allen and Mary E. (Stimans) Allen.^[1] His death record gives his birth date 10 Apr 1872, names Albert Allen and Mary Stimons as his parents, and says he was born at Livermore Falls, Maine (which in 1872 was part of the village of East Livermore).^[2] In the 1880 Census, he was living at Livermore, Maine, with his parents at the age of 8.^[3]

Marriage

Eugene E. Allen married Edith A. Swallow.^[1] On 29 May 1913, Eugene E. Allen, 41, motorman, and Edith A. Swallow, 24, stenographer, both of Portland, Maine, published at Foxcroft, Maine, their intention to marry, and they married at Foxcroft on 11 Jun 1913, the first marriage for each of them.^[4]

Children

The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, lists three children for Eugene and Edith (Swallow() Allen:^[1]

Death

Eugene E. Allen died of "chronic valvular disease of heart" at Foxcroft, Maine, on 25 Jun 1921, at the reported age of 49 years, 2 months, 15 days. His death record identifies him as an electric car driver. It says he was not a resident of Foxcroft, but was a former resident of Portland, Maine.^[5]
