Biography

William H. "Willie" Allen was born in 1869, the son of Albert Allen and Mary (Stimans) Allen.^[1] His parents' names are shown on his death record, which gives his place of birth as Livermore Falls (in 1869 part of the village of East Livermore), and his date of birth as 23 Sep 1869.^[2] He is shown living with Albert and Mary Allen at East Livermore as Willie H. Allen, at the age of 7/12 years in the 1870 Census,^[3] and at Livermore at the age of 10 in the 1880 Census.^[4]

William H. Allen never married; he is shown as single in his death record, which also identifies him as a journalist. He died of carcinoma of the liver at Lewiston, Maine, on 28 Jul 1918, at the reported age of 48 years, 10 months, 5 days.^[2]
