Biography

Amos A. Alden was the son of Charles Alden and Susan E. (Peterson) Alden, probably born at Livermore, Maine.^[1] He was shown in his parents' household at Livermore in 1870 at the age of 4^[2] and at Canton, Maine, in 1880 at the age of 14.^[3]

A record in the Nathan Hale Cemetery Collection says that he died at Canton, Maine, on 1 Feb 1920 at the age of 53 years, 8 months, 11 days; that his wife Nellie died at Canton on 8 Feb 1823 at the age of 48 years, 6 months, 1 day; and that they are buried at the Meadowview Cemetery in Canton.^[4]
