Biography

According to his death record, Charles Henry Alden was born in Canton, Maine, the son of Charles Alden and Susan E. (Peterson) Alden and his age at his death computes to a birth date in March or April 1853,^[1] In 1860 and 1870, he was living with his parents at Livermore, Maine.^[2][3]

The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, says that Charles H. Alden died in California,^[4] but his death record says that he died at Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.^[1] He is probably the Charles H. Alden, age 31, born in Maine, who registered to vote at Los Angeles, California, on 3 Oct 1884.^[5]

Charles Henry Alden died of consumption at Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on 6 Jul 1892. His death record says that he was a carpenter and was married at the time of his death.^[6]
