Biography
Laurence Abernethy, 1st Lord Saltoun of Abernethy was born circa 1400. He was the son of Sir William Abernethy, 7th of Saltoun and Margaret Borthwick, b. Abt 1388, He married Margaret (?) in 1448.1 He died before 13 March 1460/61.[1]
He lived Saltoun and Rothiemay. He gained the title of 1st Lord Saltoun of Abernethy. In 1445 Justiciar. On 28 June 1445 so created.[1]
