Not to be confused with Ebenezer Dewey (1812-1888) of Amber, New York
Ebenezer was born in 1788. He was the son of Bezaleel Dewey. He passed away in 1869. Neither his nor his wife Lucy (Webster) Dewey's graves have been found; they both died in Hamilton, New York. However, his daughter Frances, has a gravestone at Madison Street Cemetery in Hamilton, New York. It is possible that Ebenezer and Lucy are also buried there, or they may have been buried at the former Lebanon Street cemetery (now residential area with one commercial building on the corner of Lebanon and Eaton).
