Not to be confused with Ebenezer Dewey Esq. (1788-1869) of Hamilton, New York

Ebenezer Dewey, resident in the Amber hamlet of Otisco^[1] was born on September 3, 1812^[2] in either Otsego County^[3] or Schoharie County,^[4] New York. Ebenezer was a gunsmith^[5] and watchmaker.^[4] He passed away on March 24, 1888.^[2]
