This page is intended to be used as a source for many of the Dewey families, including those relating to Rear Admiral George Dewey of the United States Navy, and Wisconsin's first governor, Nelson Dewey. However, it should be noted that many inconsistencies also appear in this source. This is by no means as accurate as stated in the title, and speculation is implied several times throughout its pages. For the purposes of WikiTree, I believe it to be an excellent "starter source" which the community can use to begin to trace lineage, and hopefully through the hard work of its members it can be improved upon.
