Since this posting was orphaned and is nearly a decade old, thought it'd be interesting to try to find him.

He is most like an Australian,  born WODONGA, VIC, 13 August 1923. (A day less than 40 years older than me.) And still going at 99... he posted an Amazon review in May 2022.
