Shultz-265 does not show sources; what did I do wrong?

Just finished post merge clean up & when I tried preview, none of the million sources showed up. They are still there, but cannot see them unless you go into edit. What did I do wrong?  Is it simply a matter of not placing <ref>  </ref> in the right place?  Please & thank you.

Thanks, Cindy Williams Lesure

Yeap, the problem was with your inline codes. You forgot to put </ref> at the end of your note reference!!! It happens to the best of us!!

=== Notes ===
: Note:  Listed in the 1840 through 1880 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee:<ref>&nbsp:  Reference:  David Beckwith GenServ database BECKDA1. '' Smoky Mountain Clans, Volume 2'', Donald B. Reagan, 1983, p 16, 40:  Note:  Listed in the 1840 through 1880 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee. </ref>  (this was missing)

PS: I put it in so your sources would show.
