Did you know?

Jacksonville, Oregon is known for its wineries, covered bridges, and historic downtown.
It was founded in 1852 during the California Gold Rush.

Yes it sure is.
I grew up there before the wineries when it was surrounded by pear orchards. Greatest place to grow up with forests all around. Now they have a wonderful trail system that runs around the entire town.
Yes, they expanded those trails over the years. Put up better signage so you can find your way around.

They used to have a wonderful old museum, with a tremendous rock collection.  It was always a thrill to take family and friends there. Always enjoyed it, went there a couple time with other children from my schools.

Thank you for showcasing Jacksonville, Oregon!

I spent quite a few hours today going through the Jacksonville Cemetary and starting with the earliest deaths, adding them into the project. This is just a start, but what I would like to do is get as many as possible connected to the larger tree so we know where there pioneers came from.
