Adding a hyperlink

Question

I am trying to add a hyperlink (i.e. for example a web address,)to a reference. I have checked the help pages and done what is said, which is to put round brackets at each end of the link, I have been typing in the other information first, then adding a (web address) and saving etc. However all I get is the green web address and not the other info I have written. I have checked other's records and theirs seem to show both. Can anyone please advise me. King regards Vicki

[url-goes-here text-goes-here]  There needs to be a space between the end of the url and the beginning of the anchor text.  Never use round "brackets" (actually parentheses), as those won't work for texting links.

To make it a hyperlink you need to use square brackets and then at the end of the url leave a space and type the wording you want to show (e.g. [urlfordocument Land deed] and it will show up in the text with the words Land deed as a clickable link.

When I do mine, I use an opening square bracket then put the url first and a description of it before the closing square bracket.
