How is your photo tree shaping up?

Question

Here is a nice way to bring up your ancestor portraits all in one place.

Follow this link - enter your WikiTree-ID - and click Go.

Next - click settings ⚙ - and click the photo checkbox.

More fun stuff ......

• Under settings - click fractal depth 6
• Click on an ancestor to load them into the centre - then scroll down and click on Spouse names to explore descendants
• Under settings - uncheck everything except photo - can you still name you ancestors?
• Try it on a small mobile screen to show family.

Hmmm ... nothing is happening when I enter my ID .. oh yeah, it's case-sensitive. Still took a 2nd try before it showed up, but then worked as promised.

Is there a way to not show my somewhat lengthy bio underneath?

Thanks Rob. Yes the WikiTree-ID is certainly case-sensitive, and the page does sometimes take a moment to load the first time while it gathers your data from WikiTree.

There is not currently a way to hide the bio - but there could be! The layout is designed to show ancestors BDM descendants and bio all on one vertical page. This perhaps makes most sense when all of these elements are present. Your grandfather for example.

Why did you particularly want to hide the bio? Was it taking up too much space on screen?

Right. I tried it first with me, and the bio is a bit much. But it does make much more sense with somebody like a grandfather.

At first I had no pictures, but after I hit the settings button, I hit the photo check box, and there they were!
