Need to confirm parents prior to merging these pre-1700 Elsdon-Palmer profiles? [closed]

Palmer-268 is a duplicate of Elsdon-1 (side-by-side comparison) so they should be merged.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding?

Or perhaps someone with more WikiTree experience would like to complete the merge? Let me know if you do. Thanks!

I had a look at the two profiles. There are a lot of differences. Different LNAB. Different Birth dates and locations, Different death dates and locations. Its not a merge as it stands now until/unless those things are resolved.

There is a PM on Palmer-268 and they are the ones that requested the merge, the Puritan Great Migration Project is involved in the other. The merge was requested today. The Project and other PM's have a month to respond to the request, from today.

So nothing can be done by anyone else at the moment, its up to the PM's.

This is basically a "clean up" merge. There is no support of any data on the Palmer profile. They two Anns are married to the same person, but no other data is consistent between them, and certainly the death place on Palmer is an inaccurate hodgepodge. Since the two Anns both have England birthplaces, with alleged births just 6 years apart, it appears that Ann Elsdon is the closest match for Ann Palmer. Hence I proposed the merge. I am affiliated with the Puritan Great Migration project.

I appreciate the diligence you showed in you raising this question. I hope that you feel more comfortable with the merge based on my further explanation. If you have further questions please feel free to reply or contact me via my profile page.

Thank you.
