Date format changed after entry for 21 Jun 1997 to 1997-6-21' Why?

Question

On some profiles the date is changed fro 21 Jun 1997 to 1997-6-21; yet on others 21 Jun 1997 changed to June 21, 1997; and on others it stays as 21 Jun 1997. I desire consistency. Thanks

January 27, 2013 is an example of how a date appears on Wikitree.  As long as a date is entered in any acceptable format it is converted to a similar appearance, always.  An explanation for what you are seeing could be that the date is not entered in a date field but rather in a place of birth/death field.  If this doesn´t answer your question maybe you could show a profile where it is like you are seeing.
