Noah's father was William, but I don't know much about him.  He was married to Sara (sarry), and she shows an immigration date of 1840 in the Texas GLO.  It's odd that the land patent (320 acres) was in her name.  Maybe William was an Indian (we were always told there was Cherokee in our family), as they were unable to receive land headrights.

IF this is Noah Yates from FL: Apparently he was married (in Florida) to Margaret C Herndon.  They were running a boarding house.  Then Daniel Sloan came along and kicked him out.  He and Margaret had no children.  I know this doesn't answer your question but hope it helps.
