Advice before adding child of this pre-1700 Lambert profile? Scotland

I can add a child to the profile of Marjorie (Lambert) Hume. This is who I can add: This is who I have a question about..

Scotland

  • Marjorie Johnston (1648-1682) parents were William Gordon Johnston and Lady Isabel Maitland.  Why does "Lambert " keep showing up in her profile? There is No mention of a husband or father name being Lambert.
  • Child of the above Marjorie Johnston and is Barbara Hume (1670-1745), who married a William Hogue hoge.  Her name is given as Barbara Lambert Hume

These are the sources I am using:

  • Scotland Select Marriages 1561-1910, Ancestry.com
  • Scotland Select Births and Baptisms 1564-1950, Ancestry.com
  • Family of Hoge, James Fulton Hoge, Higgingston Book Co., Boston, Mass.  page 118
  • US and Canada Passenger and Immigration Lists 1500-1900, Ancestry.com
  • Find A Grave # 171262969, I have other sources no listing of Lambert in those either.
  • This is quite confusing, if there was a previous husband named Lambert it should be listed in the profile.  Not as AKA Lambert, (whatever that means).
  • Thank you

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Cynthia, please add the tag Scotland to the question. If the name Lambert is continually found then perhaps someone in the project is familiar with the family and can inform on this.
If her last name at birth was Johnston, then she needs to have that changed from Lambert.  Any of the current three co-managers, or the other person on the trusted list, can make this change.

I agree it makes no sense for her, as the daughter of Johnston, to be named Lambert.

She should be Marjorie Johnston aka Hume.  I'm pretty sure her cln was still Johnston, even though married.

There is also a comment on the profile from 2016, the concerns expressed therein seemingly never having been addressed.
