Hello WikiTreers!

In the WikiTree Challenge we research together to make discoveries for a special genealogy guest star. We research their family out to seven degrees in all directions.

Challenge #7 is a going to be fantastic!  We're partnering with professional researcher and long-time friend of WikiTree, David Allen Lambert. David has been on the staff of American Ancestors/NEHGS since 1993 and is the organization’s Chief Genealogist. He is an internationally recognized speaker on the topics of genealogy and history.

Countries that we know will be involved so far: Canada, England, France, United States.

Opportunities for bounty points are posted below.

For connections, even though these individuals are already connected to the tree, you can win the bounty points if you make a new connection. For example, if you are adding new profiles and find one that already exists, then that would count for bounty points.

For brick walls, you can earn bounty points by finding the specified parent or spouse for each individual. Brick wall bounties will be listed on Sunday.

In both cases, be sure to comment below so we can verify the connection or brick wall and get you your bounty points!

You can also post here if you have questions or want to share what you are working on. Or join us in Discord for real-time chat.

Join in our Zoom chats and tune in for the reveal!

Added a child of Alexander's sister, Mary Ann (Poor) Marsters.  He is George Henry Marsters-319.

I made a new connection from Lydia Young, David's sixth great-grandfather to her parents Matthews/Matthias Young and Eleanor Haines, who were already here.

I'm surprised the connection wasn't already made, so I'm second-guessing myself. Is there any reason to doubt that Matthias' daughter Lydia was Nathan Whitney's wife Lydia? Hugh Davis McLellan's makes this connection in History of Gorham, Me., and I'm not finding other folks with these names in the area.

Connected Alexander's sister's (Mary Ann Poor Marsters) husband (Franklin Marsters) to an existing profile for his father (Joseph Dimock Marsters) - long sigh - which was unconnected to the tree.

Edit: And Karen beat me anyway.
Still, it's nice to get the Marsters back together again. Maybe Joseph's profile manager Jeffrey would like to hear that he and his second wife are connected now, as he's got a one-place study up in New Brunswick. I like leaving notes for folks.
Connected Stickney-996 to Poor-384 (daughter of David's 4th great grandmother, Sarah (Dole) Poor)

Connection #8: Calista Ann Gale

ago by Eowyn Walker G2G Astronaut (2.5m points)
Connected Calista to the big tree via her paternal uncle, Alonzo Gale's wife, Harriet Wells', mother, Sophronia Bean-7133 Wells.  I connected Sophronia to her parents, Sinkler Bean-5025 & Dorothy Quimby-727, who both were already in the tree.

The connections to the Duston family of Salem, NH and Haverhill, Massachusetts are on this line. I've found a 3rd cousin six times removed who served in the American Revolution: David Duston is his name.

Built the tree down to Thomas Elliott Duston. Will be building it out soon!

I've connected Mary Lougee, Lougee-1 to her father John Lougee, Lougee-4, already in Wikitree.  Added sources.  Will continue to add more. Linda Stanch ~~~
