On 1 August 1854 Viktoria Zähringer and her brother Martin arrived onboard of the ship New York from Le Havre to New York.[2] With them were over 100 followers of Ambros Oschwald, who started the St. Nazianz colony.[3]
She was a teacher and according to Joachim Heel's in Seeking a New Life "proudly held her first classes in the newly opened school on November 1st , 1855."[4]
She passed away in 1867. [5] Like her parents and her emigrated siblings, Viktoria is buried at the Saint Gregory Cemetery in St. Nazianz.[6]
