Biography

Pauline was born on 3 December 1947 in Nédélec, Quebec to Élie Marcoux and Germaine Cloutier.

Pauline moved to the Oshawa area in the 1950s with her family after her mother got sick with TB and had to be hospitalized.

In 1964 she gave birth to a son, Kelly John Douglas, but had to give him up for adoption. He was later adopted by a farming couple, and was raised as Gregory Patrick Clarke. Despite that hardship, she and the boy's father, Dwight Douglas, continued their romantic relationship, and were married in September 1965. They had a daughter and then a son together.

Eventually, things did not work out, and they separated.

Pauline suffered from poor health later in life, and passed away in 2012.

Years after her passing, however, Greg, her firstborn, was able to connect with his biological brother and sister, and they now enjoy a healthy adult sibling relationship. Pauline would have been happy that they were reunited.
