Donat was born in 1884. He passed away in 1960.

Birth/Baptism

Donat was born on 27 March 1884, according to the 1901 Census of Canada.^[1] Interestingly, according to the census Donat could not speak English (at age 17), but both his parents have "tick marks" to indicate they could both speak French and English.

No baptism record has been found for Donat (as of yet). Donat's father, Ludger, was working as a cordonnier (shoemaker) at the time, and it is possible his work took him and his family temporarily away from their home parish. [PLEASE CLARIFY/CONFIRM/DENY]

Marriage

Donat married Marie Anne Trudel, daughter of Joseph Trudel and Célanire Gagnon of this parish, at Sainte-Thècle on 29 September 1908.^{[2] [3]}
