A court case against Mary E. Watkins in 1873 lists Thomas J. Watkins as a son of Mary Williams and Thomas Watkins,[1] but a 'Nancy' is referenced in his death record.[6] It is likely that this apparent inconsistency is simply a matter of an erroneous OCR interpretation of 'Mary' vs 'Nancy', which appear very different in type but very similar in cursive. Locating the original image and examining would be helpful.

update: Thomas and Mary parents were restored (and merged with Thomas and Nancy profiles).
Hi! I'm thinking that the profiles for Thomas who married Mary Williams should be attached as his parents (instead of Thomas & Nancy).
The court record (recently added) that shows Thomas J. Watkins as the son of Thomas & Mary (Williams) Watkins should take precedence over "Nancy" being entered as his mother's given name on his death certificate, in my opinion.
