Thomas A Marshall was born on 25 Aug 1897 in Deniliquin, New South Wales, Australia, son of John Joseph Marshall (1849 - 1914) and Clara Margaret (Bowden) Marshall (1856 - 1929).[1]

Thomas served in the 6th Battalion with the Australian Imperial Force. [2]

Thomas was killed in action during world War I on 11 Nov 1916 in Somme, Picardie, France aged 19. His burial place is unknown[2] but he his name is included in the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial in France. [3] His family also erected a memorial in Deniliquin Cemetery, Deniliquin. [4]
