Birth 14 January 1644/5, Portsmouth, Newport, RI to parents William (1613-1675) and Mary Hall (-1680+). ^[1]

William married Alice TRIPP on 26 January 1669 Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.^{[2] [3]}Alice, born 1650, was the daughter of John Trippe who came in 1635 to Aquidneck Pond, now Portsmouth, R.I. John Trippe was one of the Portsmouth Compact signers, 20 April 1633.

William and Alice had the following known children:
