1701, Nov. 29. His widow rendered her account. "errors excepted," showing that she had disbursed £63, 11s. Among the charges is one for bringing up her son Benjamin, from his birth till he was seven years old, at £6 per year. She notes charges paid to my two brothers, William and Benjamin Hall. To her three children she had delivered as follows: to Mary, wife of Robert Fish, a heifer; To Joanna, six lambs; To son Zuriel, a cow, horse, and 9s. She was ordered to pay over £14 to son Benjamin, and if latter died before twenty-one, his brother and sister to have it.
Neither Zuriel nor his wife Elizabeth seem to have a will in RI.
The "Inventory of the moveable estate of Zuriel Hall of the town of Portsmouth ... who desceased the 5th day of ... Sept 1691." totaled £84, 5s. It included £33, 18s for animals, £7 for oats and hay, and £6, 16s in money. "Elizabeth Hall widow and Administratrix" to the estate testified that the inventory was "true", 19 Sept 1691.
Benjamin and William Hall acknowledged receiving "the full and just sum of three pounds marchantable" from Zuriel's estate. This was due "by vertue of the Last will ... of William Hall of Portsmouth deceased baring date nov. 22, 1673."
Zuriel and wife Elizabeth where named executors of the estate of John Tripp after John's sons John and Peleg refused to. This suggests that Elizabeth is probably John Tripp's daughter. The RI General Court of Trials 1671-1704 byJane F. Fiske. (Boxford, MA: 1998) [Dallas Lib] pp. 150-152.
