Sarah Jones is listed in Peter's will and is attached to Peter. She is not attached to Dorothy?

Sarah is the daughter of Dorothy Chamberlayne Jones, so should be added as daughter..
I've added Dorothy as the mother of Sarah. Thanks.
Working on Peter Jones III (Jones-1543) and realize that his wife, Dorothy Chamberlayne (Chamberlayne-6) is PPP. I disconnected a second spouse from Peter who had zero documentation and no profile manager. In my tree, Dorothy is not shown as the mother of Richard Jones, Sr., and there seems to be a problem with dates. If someone could take a look, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Richard Jones, Sr - the profile you detached from Jones-1543 - is Jones-39561 & is not attached to this profile as a son.

Richard, son of Peter (Jones-1543) & Dorothy is Jones-43729 (and is attached).

Liz,

The no longer attached Richard was just attached today as a son. I detached him earlier this evening.

possible lead... info on this page:

update: not for Dorothy, but definitely good info for her mom/grandmom:

"Will of MARTHA BROWNE of Bristol Parish... To daughter Elizabeth Chamberlaine... Son In law William Battes to be executor. Dated 1 April 1721, Recorded 7 Aug 1721..." (from file contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Karen L. Salisbury)

maybe Henry Batte Jones is their son too:

Jones-8082 born 1735.

I just added a son Thomas (born 1736). I found Thomas's unsourced profile attached as son of a Peter (Jones-24500) born 1735 (text had Peter born 1743) when I was following a lead, looking for a Thomas m Susanna shown as the son of Peter and Dorothy and the father of Peter m Catherine Chappell, who were the parents of Gov. James Chamberlayne Jones of Tennessee (Jones-30505).

Thomas born 1736 fits as son of Dorothy (born 1710) and Peter Jones (b 1691), who married 1727. Also, Dorothy's father is named Thomas (Thomas Chamberlayne).

dang. I thought you'd found a marriage record.

Hmmm... Not sure. It won't hurt my feelings if you change it. She isn't a close relative.

ooh July 27 - where'd that come from?

clarification on a note in the Changes tab list: I said I'd changed mother from 1st wife to 2nd. Mother Elizabeth Stratton is 3rd wife; Mary Wood (daughter of Abraham Wood b 1610) was 2nd; Margaret was 1st, but I'd had Margaret Jones (not sure where that got into my head from) when I should have put Margaret Powell (although that's just an "it's said" - see https://alliedfamilies.wordpress.com/early-virginia-jones-families/ ). As far as I can tell, the only profile for Mary Wood in WikiTree was turned into a duplicate profile for her step-sister Margaret (last name unknown but widely given as Wood, since Abraham Wood appears to have been her step-father; Margaret [not-Wood] married Peter Jones (b ca 1634)... their children are included in Abraham Wood's will as his "grandchildren in law")

search of http://services.dar.org/Public/DAR_Research/search/?Tab_ID=1 reveals that she's a patriot ancestor (#A062051)!

daughter Dorothy b Jan. 29, 1744/5 - https://archive.org/stream/vestrybookandre01chamgoog#page/n340/mode/1up (assuming this Peter & Dorothy are the ones meant)

After doing some research, I think this is the accepted spelling for Chamberlayne, although I did find it spelled a lot of different ways. I also found Peter's DOB listed as 1691 which might be more logical if Dorothy isn't born until 1710.
