- Dorothy Chamberlayne (1710 -1781),[1] the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Stratton) Chamberlayne, married Peter Jones in Virginia in 1727. They had several children, including
- Margaret (b August 14, 1733[2])
- John, married Martha Redford[1]
- Mary, married Sterling C. Thornton[1]
- Peter, married Elizabeth Wilkinson[1]
- Dorothy Jones[1] (born Jan. 29, 1744/5[3]), who married Thomas Short, the son of Thomas Short.[4]
