Good article about compatibility (or lack therof) between testing companies and GEDmatch at Autosomal DNA Transfers – Which Companies Accept Which Tests?

Thanks for the great information Kerry!

Living DNA has their autosomal DNA test on sale for $99 (plus shipping) which is $60 off.  They are calling it their holiday gift sale so I have no idea when it ends.  Living DNA can be uploaded to Gedmatch Genesis but is not compatible with WikiTree at this time (as far as having a box to fill in with the Genesis kit#)

Thanks Emma.  I added it to the list.

Does anyone here know if Wikitree is working on adding Gedmatch Genesis IDs?  It's needed for current 23andMe results as well.

This is from Chris Whitten, 2 days ago:

We are currently working with GEDmatch on this. As I believe Ellen and some others have pointed out elsewhere, Genesis IDs don't function the same as other GEDmatch IDs. They are not in the same database. But, to add to the complexity, they may be integrated. And, to add more complexity, there are questions from others (I know Peter has raised these) about whether integration is feasible.

Yikes.  That doesn't sound promising.
Amen and hallelujah! This wasn't announced to the DNA Project so I am just now hearing about it.

Thanks Rob.  Looks like their 1-day only sale returned pretty quickly.
Update!  FamilyTree DNA has now dropped shipping for Family Finder to $4.95 (through the 27th)
Their multi-pack through Amazon seems to be a very good deal.
Rob, I can't find the post where you asked me about my Living DNA test results. They just came in today.  I have to say I am pleased to see that they came out as 73% Great Britain and Ireland and 19% Scandinavian with a few others thrown in.  I believe this to be more correct.  My other tests came out something like 36% Scandinavian and only 13% Great Britain which is far off the mark.  I do wonder where my French ancestry went though.  It does not show on the Living DNA test results at all and I do have a lot of it. Living DNA also breaks down the Britain and Ireland DNA by region which is what I wanted the test for.  It is very enlightening.

Soon, Living DNA will have the ability for DNA comparisons with others within their site. They have not yet rolled it out.  I do like that they give the MtDNA haplogroups for women and y-DNA haplogroups for men.
