Confirmation of German translation (from Fraktur font)

Hello!

Can someone who knows German double check the translation on this profile? I attempted to retype the Fraktur font and then used deepl.com to translate it. If someone would be so kind as to look at it and if I made mistakes figuring out the font I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. I'm trying to learn how to do it on my own and feedback would be great. :)

This is the source: German obituary Fraktur to regular type as well as the translation are on her profile.

Thank you so much for any help!

Monica

Hello Monica,

the corrections are mostly very little but in the quotation they should be done.

  • Heading
    • "geb. Binder"
  • 1st paragraph
    • "geboren"
  • 2nd paragraph
    • "Sie kam als junges Mädchen"
    • "und ließ sich"
    • "Im Jahre 1915"
    • "gebürtig aus Klein-Schalken"
  • 3rd paragraph
    • "13. Juli" und "15. Juli"
    • "Pastor G. A. Völlm"
    • "unter Beteiligung"
    • "Damenchor Saronia"
    • "eine Gründerin war"
    • "Prof. R. Schuster"
    • "schöne Trauerlieder"
    • "Verstorbenn audem Brooklyn"
    • "schöne Nachrufworte"

In the translation

  • maybe better "under conduct of Pastor"
  • the name Völlm
  • "Damenchor Saronia" (Ladies Choir Saronia)
  • Prof(essor) R. Schuster
  • conducted two beautiful mourning songs
  • President Kath. Martini dedicated to the deceased beautiful obituary words on the Brooklyn Heights Cemetary.

Thanks, L. smiley

Thank you so much for taking the time Siegfried. The letters i, j, l, s, and f are so hard to tell apart in the Fraktur font. Hopefully the more I practice the easier it will get.

Thank you again!

Monica
