WikiTree Sourcer stopped including FindAGrave ID

I've been using it to add FG source almost daily and just noticed yesterday that the ID# is missing. There are two commas where it used to be.  My most favorite thing about the Sourcer, is not having to create the FG profile link.

I'm lazy and used to avoid linking to FG due to the needed editing of the c/p citation they provide, so am missing this desperately  sad

Hi Patricia,

I'm not aware of anything I changed like that. I just tested it on this Find A Grave page: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/117810511/elizabeth-pavey

And it produces this citation:

<ref>
'''Memorial''':
Find a Grave (no image)<br/>
{{FindAGrave|117810511}} (accessed 28 June 2022)<br/>
Memorial page for Elizabeth ''Isles'' Pavey (1880-5 Oct 1939), citing Kingston Cemetery and Crematorium, Kingston upon Thames, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London, England (plot: Consecrated Grave No. C6202); Maintained by Loz Hennessy (contributor 47759290).
</ref>

When you view this on the WikiTree page the template line expands to:

Find A Grave: Memorial #117810511 (accessed 28 June 2022)

So the memorial ID is clearly shown. So it sounds like something different is happening for you. Which version of Sourcer are you using and which browser?

Maybe something weird happened when it updated. You could try restarting the browser and disabling/reenabling the extension.

If still happening could you share the page that you are trying it on and what result you get? It is possible that there is some combination of options that may have a bug.

Cheers,
Rob

I've tried it on several profiles since yesterday, but today I keep returning to [[Dawalt-38|Sarah Catherine (Dawalt) Johnson (1852-1937)]] to test and what I get is:

"Find a Grave", database with images, , Memorial page for Sarah Catherine ''Dawalt'' Johnson (1 May 1852-11 Jul 1937), citing Mount Cemetery, Little York, Washington County, Indiana, USA.

The ID used to be between those two commas between "images, , Memorial"

I just tried on her mother and got the same citation, for her.

I'm not very computer savvy, so "try restarting the browser and disabling/reenabling the extension"  isn't clear to me.  I closed the Crome browser, cleared cache, and turned off/on Sourcer.  Returned to Sarah Catherine's FG profile and got the same result.   I saw an option to remove it - is that what I should do then re-install it?  Or restart my computer maybe?

eta: the version is 1.3.0

Thanks for the extra info. I did find a bug. If you have the option "Add an accessed date to citation" set to "None" there is a bug where it is leaving out the template or link entirely.

I will fix the bug but as a workaround if you choose one of the accessed date formats it should fix it.

OK - back in business. Thank you!  Don't like the access date, but can just delete it, which is easier than the non-sourcer options.
I have released a new version (1.3.1) that fixes the problem. It may take a day or two to show up in the Chrome store.
Thanks Rob - will look for it in a couple days.

The way that Find-A-Grave citation is written now can be cut and paste WITHOUT editing.

Even though it now links to a profile, I still prefer the  simple format and process of using the Sourcer app, clicking on that little "!" on my tool bar has me spoiled.
