On the 10th ult., at St. James’s Church, Port Hill, by the Rev. W.H. Cooper, Mr. William H. Williams, of New Bideford, to Hannah Penrose, second daughter of Mr. George Ellis, shipbuilder of the same place. [3]
There were 8 children for Anna or Hannah Penrose and William Henry Williams in the PEI Baptismal Index: Mary Jane (9 July 1851); Eleanor Agnes (10 July 1853); Hannah Josepha (2 October 1856 - some family trees say she was Sophia Josepha, but her nickname was Sephy, not Sophie); Robert Henry (19 June 1861); William Albert (19 July 1865); Sarah Jane (11 April 1868); James Walter (16 July 1870); and John Edward Ball (3 Feb 1874).[4]. When a place of birth was given, it was Lot 12 or Bideford.
The family was in Lot 12 in 1881: William Williams 54, Hannah P Williams 48, Robert H Williams 19, Ann G Williams 18, William A Williams 15, Sarah J Williams 14, James H. Williams 11 and Edward J. B Williams, 7. [5]
