Mrs. Mary Knox, wife of Joseph Knox, a resident of this city for the past 50 years, died at her home, 1635 Emma st., this morning at 9 o'clock. She was stricken with paralysis some time ago, and had been in a serious condition ever since. She was born in England Dec. 13, 1835, daughter of Charles and Martha Roscoe Williams. She came to this country direct to Youngstown in 1873, residing here ever since.
Mrs. Knox was a faithful member of the United Presbyterian Church. She had a large circle of friends throughout the city, who will regret her passing. She was of a kind and gentle disposition, and centered her interest in the welfare of home and children. Three children survive: Mrs. John Ralston and Andrew Knox, city, and Miss Susie Knox, at home. She also leaves five sisters in England.
Funeral services at the residence Monday at 3:30 p. m., with Rev. Heslip officiating. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
