Her first name is spelled several different ways in available records. "Elsie" appear to be the preferred form. She was born in 1827-1835, in Tennessee, United States. The 1910 U.S. Census shows her birth as January 1827.[1]
Her three husbands were William McNew (married about 1850), Leonard Keplinger (married between 1850 and 1861), and Samuel Dame (married before 11 Jul 1870).
In 1900, Elsie Daine [Dame] was recorded as 73-years old, born Jan 1827, living in Charleston, Dawson Springs township, Hopkins County, Kentucky with her son-in-law Robert R Eison, daughter Charity Eison and their family.[1]
