Born at Vassar Brothers Hospital, I apparently was transported home in some sort of cardboard box on the front bench-seat between my parents in the family car. My brother Christian had just had his 4th birthday at the time and was at home with Grandma & Grandpa in our first house on Barbara Drive in the Town of Wappingers.
When I turned 4 we moved to the house at 10 So. Mesier Ave in the Village of Wappingers Falls. I had great friends right across the street in Edwin, Eric & Grace Cho and went to pre-school where their father was the pastor, United Methodist Church. From there I went to James S. Evans Elementary and Roy C. Ketcham High School which I graduated in 1991. Eventually made my way to Baltimore 1992-1999. Moved to Durham, North Carolina. Have lived in Chapel Hill now for 20+ years.
My research into the ancestors has me thinking a lot about all the time spent growing up in Wappingers Falls and all over Dutchess County where the Brower and Corliss families go way back as well as many summers spent in Henderson Harbor, Watertown and all over Jefferson County where the Richmond and Stanley roots go way back and the Williams' who left England to go specifically to Bellville to start their new lives.
