What is the evidence for connecting that profile to these parents? This profile discusses possible conflation and the Rhighebel Williams profile says "there may be conflation of two Aert Willemses." What do the records tell us about Aert and Rhighebel?
I see that the Rhigebel profile lists 13 online sources, but there is little indication of what information was found in those sources. Also, many of the linked sources are FamilySearch index records, which may omit recorded information about details like baptism witnesses -- information like that often helps us elucidate family connections.
The text sections of the profiles need to provide evidence to support the conclusions that are summarized by the profile data section and the connections made between profiles. If there is uncertainty (there often is), the uncertainties can and should be discussed on the profiles.
A Marite Aertsen?? who wrote her will as a widow in 1730 in New York Province not NJ. She was not Maria Mat, the 1st. wife of Aert Willems, and it is doubtful that she was related to Aert's family...her husband Aertsen seems to be from a different family.
We do know that Willem Aertz and Styntie Nagle were bp. sponsors of Maria Mat's child Anna, bp. 1699 at NY. reinforcing Maria Mat as first wife. The timing is right for his second marriage to Van Couwenhoven. No solid facts found yet to support the Van Couwenhoven connection beyond the VC genealogy....
