Biography

Edwin, son of Edwin Harvey Tompson & Ann Jane, was born on 18 December 1848 and baptised on 1 January 1849 in Yass, New South Wales, Australia.^[1]

Death of Mr. E. B. Tompson. Mr EDWIN B. TOMPSON, solicitor, of Wagga, died on Sunday night after a comparatively short illness. A few weeks ago the deceased complained of rheumatism, which developed into paralysis of the right side. He had been confined to bed only a week when he died. The deceased had practised in Wagga for about 14 years. Mr. Tompson, who was brother to Mrs. A. M. Betts, of this city, served his articles in the office of Mr. A. H. Betts. He will be well remembered by many old Goulburn sportsmen as one of the best bowlers of the Goulburn Cricket Club.^[2]
