Biography

Alice (sometimes spelled with two L's) was born in 1730. She is the daughter of Benjamin Tompson and Alice Kidder. She married David Parker in Billerica on her 27th birthday, 27 Oct 1757. David and Alice had five children, one of whom died either at birth or in infancy. In 1768, Alice and her daughter Rachel died one day apart and her son, Peleg died in October of that year. Alice is buried in the Old South Burying Ground in Billerica, MA.

Research Note

The David Parker who was the husband of Alice Tompson is NOT the David Parker (1728-1801) who is buried in Riverside Cemetery (FaG 115502476) in North Reading, MA, where his wife Lucy (Upton) Parker and his son, Lt. David Parker (1753-1847) are also buried. At this time, both FamilySearch and the Find-a-Grave memorial erroneously assert that Mr. Parker was simultaneously married to Lucy Upton and Alice Tompson.
